Encouragement from the New Testament

Matt 10:29-31           “Are not two sparrows sold for a penny? Yet not one of them will fall to the ground apart   from the will of your Father. Moreover, even the very hairs of your head are all numbered. So do not be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows”

Mark 2:17                Jesus said… “It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick. I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners”

Luke 15:7                 “There will be more rejoicing in heaven over one sinner who repents then over ninety-nine righteous person who do not need to repent”

John 10:27-28          “My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me. I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; no one can snatch them out of my hand”

Acts 5:38-39             “Leave these men alone! Let them go! For if their purpose or activity is of human origin, it will fail. But if it is from God, you will not be able to stop these men; you will only find yourself fighting against God.”

Romans 8:38-39       “I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in creation will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord”

1-Cor 10:13              No temptation has seized you except what is common to man. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can stand up under it.

2-Cor 12:9-10          I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me. That is why, for Christ’s sake, I delight in weakness, in insults, in hardship, in persecutions, in difficulties, for when I am weak, and then I am strong.

Gal 2:20                   “I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.”

Eph 2:4-5                 Because of His great love for us. God, who is rich in mercy, made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgression-it is by grace you have been saved.

Phil 1:6                     He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.

Col  1:13-14             [The Father] has rescued us from the dominion of darkness and brought us into the kingdom of the Son he loves, in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins.

1-Thess 2:11-12       You know that we dealt with each of you as a father deals with his own children encouraging, comforting and urging you to live lives worthy of God who calls you in to his kingdom and glory.

2-Thess 2:16-17       May our Lord Jesus Christ himself and God our Father, who loved us and by grace gave us eternal encouragement and good hope, encourage your heart and strengthen you in every good deed and word.

1-Tim 1:13-14          Even though I was once a blasphemer, a persecutor, and a violent man, I was show mercy because I acted in ignorance and unbelief. The grace of our Lord was poured on me abundantly, along with the faith and love that are in Christ Jesus.

2-Tim 1:13-14          What you heard from me, keep as the pattern of sound teaching with faith and love in Christ Jesus. Guard the good deposit that was entrusted to you-guard it with the help of the Holy Spirit who lives in us.

Titus 3:3-5                At one time we… were foolish, disobedient, deceived, and enslaved by all kinds of passions and pleasures. We lived in malice and envy, being hated and hating one another. But when kindness and love of God our Savior appeared, He saved us, not because of righteous things we have done, but because His mercy.

Philemon v.7            Your love has given me great joy and encouragement, because you… have refreshed the heart of the saints.

Heb 4:15-16             We do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but we have one who has been tempted in every way, just as we are-yet was without sin. Let us then approach the throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.

James 5:19-20         My brothers, if one of you should wander from the truth and someone should bring him back, remember this: whoever turns a sinner from the error of his way will save him from death and cover over a multitude of sins.

1-Peter 2:9               You are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people belonging to God, that you may declare the praise of him who called you out of darkness into His wonderful light.

2-Peter 3:9               The lord is not slow in keeping his promise… He is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.

1-John 1:8-9            If we claim to be without sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.

2-John v.3                Grace, mercy and peace from God the Father and from Jesus Christ, the Fathers Son, will be with us in true love.

3-John vv 3-4           It gave me great joy to have some brothers come and tell about your faithfulness to the truth and how you continue to walk in the truth. I have no greater joy than to hear that my children are walking in the truth.

Jude vv 24-25           To him who is able to keep you from falling and to present you before His glorious presence without fault and with great joy-to the only God our Savior by glory, majesty, power and authority, through Jesus Christ our lord, before all ages, now and forevermore!

Rev 21:6-7                To him who is thirsty I will give to drink without cost from the spring of water of life. He who overcomes will inherit all this, and I will be his God and he will be my son.

Please will you help support this Ministry.

Since the foundation of Disciple of Christ Ministries were laid in May 2012, we have taken a vision given to me while serving time myself, to now a thriving outreach ministry reaching across the country. We are doing this through Pen Pals for Jesus, our correspondence by mail Prison Ministry. Currently we are serving over 900 inmates across 42 states, matching them with Christian men and women volunteers who share hope and encouragement through letters of Christian support.

Disciple of Christ Ministries boldly goes into the darkest places to shine the Light of the Gospel for others to see! As we continue to grow in numbers, so does the cost of operating the ministry. With all the new mail restriction in place brought us to spend more to reach the inmates bringing a strain on our resources across the board. Leaving us to reach out to churches and organizations inviting them to join us in our efforts in building the Kingdom of God.

Any love gift amount would be used for the glory of God.

      We are a 501(c)(3) Non-Profit Organization

 Thank you in advance

and may God bless you!
