Our True Identity and Position in Christ

Ephesians 2 10

10        For we are God's workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do

Ephesians 2 18 – 22

18        For through him we both have access to the father by one spirit.

19        consequently, you are no longer foreigners in aliens, but fellow citizens with God's people and members of God's household.

20        built on the foundations of the apostles and prophets, with Christ Jesus himself as the chief cornerstone.

21        In him the whole building is joined together in rises to become a holy temple in the Lord.

22        and in him you too are being built together to become a dwelling in which God lives by his spirit.

Hebrews 4: 15 – 16

15        For we do not have a high priest was unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but we have one who has been tempted in every way, just as we are – – yet was without sin.

16        Let us then approach the throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.

1 Peter 2:9

9          But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people belonging to God, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light.

2 Corinthians 5:17 – 21

17        Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come!

18        all this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ in gave us the ministry of reconciliation;

19        That God was reconciling the world to himself in Christ, not counting men's sins against them. And he has committed to us the message read reconciliation.

20        we are therefore Christ's ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal through us. We implore you one Christ behalf: reconciled to God.

21        God made him what had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.

Matthew 5:13 – 16

13        You are the salt all of the earth. But if the salt loses its saltiness, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled by men.

14        You are the light of the world. A city on a hill cannot be hidden.

15        Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house.

16        In the same way, let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in heaven.

John 15:12 – 15

12        My command is this; love each other as I have loved you.

13        Greater Love has no one then this, that he lay down his life for his friends.

14        You are my friends if you do what I command.

15        I no longer call you servants, because a servant does not know his master's business. Instead, I have called you friends, for everything that I learned from my father I have made known to you.
