Behind These Prison Walls

As I sit behind these prison walls.

Judge me, O Lord and plead my cause against the ungodly. O deliver me from the deceitful and unjust man.

Let them be ashamed and confounded together that seeks after my soul to destroy it; let them be driven backwards and put to shame that wish evil upon me.

I ask O Lord, be merciful unto me: heal my soul for I have sinned against others. Let the Holy Spirit take over my body. Shield me with the full armor of God, so I may withstand all the evil within these prison walls.

Give me the faith to look towards the future. Lead me in the path of righteousness and truth. Shod my feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace, above all, give me the shield of faith, the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the spirit, which is the word of God.

Watch over me in this dark deceitful place. Most of all I ask of you O Lord to watch over my family and friends on the outside so their life can be peaceful and safe while I am away sitting behind these prison walls.

While I am Away

I might be away but I am safe. My path has turned. I’ve been placed on a new journey for whatever reason I am not sure. However, I know God has placed me on this journey and I have accepted this task.

I shall walk his way safely and my feet shall not stumble. When I lay down, I will not be afraid and my sleep will be sweet and peaceful. I will not be afraid of sudden fear, neither of the desolation of the wicked, when it comes my way. For the Lord shall be my confidence, and shall keep my footing from being taken.

I know I am away from those who love me. Rest ashore that I am not gone just away just as time this too will pass and when it does, I will be a much stronger person and we will all benefit from my journey. So do not fear, as I am safe and will be returned when the Lord is finish with my current journey.

Time away from the ones I Love

My sins have cost me time away from the ones I love, especially my children. How can this be good for them? Have I caused them harm in anyway? How am I going to make up for this lost time away from them? I was a good dad and a good friend to many, so where did I go wrong. How is this going to make us all better? Is it because I lost my faith in God? On the other hand, was it just that I let myself fall into the hands of temptation?

Now I am here asking our Lord Jesus to help heal those who are effective by my wrong doings. Will the healing help me get back what I have lost with my children? Through my prayers, I have gotten stronger. I have accepted the Lord Jesus back into my life. I have also confessed all my sins to our Lord Jesus hoping for my life back.

Do I still have enough time left in my life here on earth to make a difference not only with my life but also with the life of others who have been effective by my actions? Please Dear God keep the Holy Spirit in my soul so I can become one of your servants and right the wrongs I have done through learning the meanings of your words.

God Forgives

To forgive is a spiritual act that takes faith and understanding. God forgives us all so why is it so hard for me to forgive myself. Is it that I judge myself unfairly or just plain bitterness towards myself? Am I truly of God!

As I look at forgiveness I wonder do I first need to forgive all that sinned against me so I then can be forgiven myself. I know that God forgives me so why does it feel so bad within my soul.

My faith is building stronger everyday with your help God. My soul is being filled with the Holy Spirit. I am teaching myself the Word of God every day and you are bringing others to me for guidance. So Lord I guess you have brought me to this point and now it time for me to let go and finally forgive myself.

Gift of Friendship

As we go through life we meet so many different people and out of all of them we get to know, why is it that only a few become our friends there still only a select few whom are chosen to be a true friend.

As Jesus said, many are called but few are chosen. This is also true with our friends, as we need faith to choose these friends. Friends should be evenly yoked so we can enjoy the friendship with great balance between each other.

Did you ever think that God has brought this friend to you? Well let us look at our faith. God works in many different ways for the good of others. When you accept God and the Holy Spirit into your life, your whole life will change, but your true friends will still be there for you, as God has brought this friend to you.

As your life changes with the acceptance of God and the Holy Spirit, you are going to find new friends that are brothers and sisters in Christ. These new friends will help you in your weaknesses and also help you become stronger in your new life through God and with God. Therefore, Lord thanks for the gift of friendship.

Please will you help support this Ministry.

Since the foundation of Disciple of Christ Ministries were laid in May 2012, we have taken a vision given to me while serving time myself, to now a thriving outreach ministry reaching across the country. We are doing this through Pen Pals for Jesus, our correspondence by mail Prison Ministry. Currently we are serving over 900 inmates across 42 states, matching them with Christian men and women volunteers who share hope and encouragement through letters of Christian support.

Disciple of Christ Ministries boldly goes into the darkest places to shine the Light of the Gospel for others to see! As we continue to grow in numbers, so does the cost of operating the ministry. With all the new mail restriction in place brought us to spend more to reach the inmates bringing a strain on our resources across the board. Leaving us to reach out to churches and organizations inviting them to join us in our efforts in building the Kingdom of God.

Any love gift amount would be used for the glory of God.

      We are a 501(c)(3) Non-Profit Organization

 Thank you in advance

and may God bless you!
