Answering the Call to Serve God's People

no matter where thy are located.

A message from Pastor Dennis

God has put it on my heart to reach out to the 300 inmates that take part in our Pen Pals for Jesus Ministry during this crisis. Now more than ever before we need to share the Love of Jesus to those who are forgotten and feel cut off from the world. As many have been called to stay safe and practice social distancing in our own communities, it a lot different in jails & prisons. When inmates are placed in lock down they are locked in their cell 24 hours a day literally cutting them off from visits, church services, and Bible Studies.

This is a perfect time for the church to come together; not in a building but as followers of Christ coming together in the harvest field. The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few.

The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few.

Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore,

to send out workers into his harvest field. (Luke 10:2 NIV)

Defeating Fear During the Virus Crisis
What to Remember

1. REMEMBER NOT EVERYTHING I HEAR IS TRUE

The gullible believe anything they're told but the prudent sift and weigh every word. Proverbs 14:15 (Msg)
The wise man looks ahead. The foolish person attempts to fool himself and won't face the facts.

Proverbs 14:8 (LB)

Get the facts at any price, and hold on tightly to good sense. Proverbs 23:23 (LB)

2. REMEMBER NOT EVERYONE IS AT EQUAL RISK

3. REMEMBER THIS WILL PASS

Dear friends, don't be surprised or shocked when you going through painful trials and fiery tests in life.

1 Peter 4:12

The earth suffers for the sins of its people, for they have twisted the instructions of God, violated his laws, and broken his covenant. Therefore... the earth has broken down and has utterly collapsed. Everything is lost, abandoned, and confused.

Isaiah 24:5, 19

For our temporary and momentary troubles will not last But they are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. So we focus not on what is seen, but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.

2 Corinthians 4:17-18

4. REMEMBER TO FOCUS ON WHAT IS UNCHANGING

  1. God sees everything I’m, going through
  2. God cares about everything I’m going through
  3. God has the power to answer prayer
  4. God always acts out of his goodness to me.
  5. God’s plan is always better than my plan
  6. God will never stop loving me
  7. I cannot lose my salvation once I have trusted in Jesus

5. REMEMBER NO MATTER WHAT I GO THROUGH GOD WILL GO THROUGH IT WITH ME!

When you go through deep waters, I will be with you! When you pass through rivers of difficulty, you will not drown! When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned up; it will NOT consume you! Isaiah 43:2

6. REMEMBER THIS IS NOT THE END OF THE STORY!

We often suffer, but we’re never crushed. Even when we don't know what to do, we never give up. In times of trouble, God is with us, and when we are knocked down, we get up again ... BECAUSE WE KNOW God raised the Lord back to life. And just as he raised Jesus, he will also raise us back to life, and will bring us into his presence. 2 Corinthians 4:8-9, 14

7. REMEMBER THAT GOD WANTS TO USE ME TO HELP OTHERS

  1. Letters writers For those who are in quarantine and locked down as we send messages of  hope  and encouragement to our inmates who take part in our Pen Pal for Jesus ministries.
  2. Our Outreach to those who have to be isolated or quarantined, hard on emotions or mentally ill. We can’t visit everyone but we can send written messages to them. Just by receiving, a letter will bring joy and peace to so many of our Pen Pals for Jesus participant. Those who are healthy but need to stay isolated for own protection can help our mission.
  3. Newsletter - We need to purchase 300 stamps to cover our mailing of a special edition of our newsletter to our inmates in 37 states who are now in lockdown and receiving no visits (including church gatherings and Bible studies).

Each one should use whatever gift he has received to serve others, faithfully administering God's grace in its verious forms.

(1 Peter 4:10 NIV)

Disciple of Christ Ministries sets the foundation for strong Christian values in your daily lives. We are dedicated to reaching out to all those who are seeking salvation through Jesus Christ. We are all about advancement of our own faith through God's Word, fellowship, and serving our Lord Jesus in all we do.

In addition to our community services, we organize Prison Pen Pals so we can help our brothers and sisters who have fallen into dark times, giving them hope, guidance and most of all our testimonies of faith showing them what Christ has done in our lives.

Jesus tells us in Matthew 25:31-41 (NKJV)

"When the Son of Man comes in His glory, and all the holy angels with Him, then He will sit on the throne of His glory. All the nations will be gathered before Him, and He will separate them one from another, as a shepherd divides his sheep from the goats. And He will set the sheep on His right hand, but the goats on the left. Then the King will say to those on His right hand, 'Come, you blessed of My Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world: for I was hungry and you gave Me food; I was thirsty and you gave Me drink; I was a stranger and you took Me in; I was naked and you clothed Me; I was sick and you visited Me; I was in prison and you came to Me.' Then the righteous will answer Him, saying, 'Lord, when did we see You hungry and feed You, or thirsty and give You drink? When did we see You a stranger and take You in, or naked and clothe You? Or when did we see You sick, or in prison, and come to You?' And the King will answer and say to them, 'Assuredly, I say to you, inasmuch as you did it to one of the least of these My brethren, you did it to Me.' Then He will also say to those on the left hand, 'Depart from Me, you cursed, into the everlasting fire prepared for the devil and his angels: for I was hungry and you gave Me no food; I was thirsty and you gave Me no drink; I was a stranger and you did not take Me in, naked and you did not clothe Me, sick and in prison and you did not visit Me.' Then they also will answer Him, saying, 'Lord, when did we see You hungry or thirsty or a stranger or naked or sick or in prison, and did not minister to You?' Then He will answer them, saying, 'Assuredly, I say to you, inasmuch as you did not do it to one of the least of these, you did not do it to Me.' And these will go away into everlasting punishment, but the righteous into eternal life."

We are always happy to meet new people -

Who We Are

Disciple of Christ Ministries is a Christian organization that provides outreach and resources to people and families that have loved ones inside the walls of our prisons who are seeking a change in their lives through the salvation of our Lord Jesus Christ.

We also have many other support systems to help all who have a will to make a positive change in their life.

What We Do

Disciple of Christ Ministries is working on reaching out to those who are lost, discouraged, and rejected whom are seeking a better life after spending time in prison, (physical or spiritual). By connecting Christian brothers and sisters, through our Pen Pals for Jesus Ministry while they are still inside our prison system or lost living in a dark place.

We have faith that this will give them the hope and faith to see that they are not forgotten, and the understanding that through Christ, they can become a new person.

We truly believe this also helps with building their faith in Christ and shows them the mercy, grace, and love Jesus has for all of us who seek him. Sharing our own testimonies of how Christ has worked in our own lives giving us new life.

What Keeps Us Going

Our faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. Knowing that all things are possible thourgh Him!

Having seen the mercy and grace He has given to us while we were still living in the flesh so that we could show others the work He has done in our lives.

Jesus said to him, "If you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes."
